Although What's on in Exeter began its life with the purpose of primarily advertising live music entertainment in Exeter, we have now received so many requests from our many subscribers to include more diverse information that we've had to overhaul the site to reflect these changes. We hope you will find that it is now less cluttered and easier to navigate.

Crazy 4 Soul
The Double Locks, Exeter

Soul on the Locks 2018 with a top Soul & Motown band, Dee Dee Shine and Northern Soul DJs playing original vinyl only.

This event will be in the marquee and outside areas at the beautiful scenic setting of the Double Locks.

There will be a dance floor erected inside one part of the marquee for the event. Lots of drinks and food/barbeque available from the bar. There's also a water taxi available by booking.

The Elves and the Shoemaker

When everyone in the house is tucked up in bed, a magical creature lifts its head. With little green fingers and little green toes, pointy ears and a sharp pointed nose, the house elves awaken and look around with glee. What they will make, create or decorate? We will have to wait and see!

Join Above Bounds, who brought you The Ugly Duckling & Other Tales in 2017, for The Elves & the Shoemaker – a delightful retelling of a well-loved tale with puppetry, music and a few crafty ideas along the way.

The Magic Garden
The Phoenix, Exeter

The teddy bears are going to have a picnic in the Magic Garden under the shade of a magic tree which is home to fairies and some adorable woodland creatures. The children in the audience agree to keep watch to keep it safe but a knotted handkerchief reminds Mr. Forget-me-not to cut down the tree so they can all stay longer in the sunshine. Luckily Auntie Mimi has a plan and, with the help of some woodland creatures and the children, they prevent a disaster to an invisible fairy world which only they can see.

This show is especially suited to children aged 2 to 6 years. It show lasts one hour and the children will be spellbound as the garden beautifully reveals its mystery.

Alice in Wonderland

Join Alice as she falls down the rabbit hole and finds herself in the most peculiar place she’s ever seen! She’ll need to have her wits about her as the evil, but hilarious, Queen of Hearts is after the secret recipe to create the best Jam Tarts for her tea party!

Alice will need all the help she can get from her Wonderland friends including the Mad Hatter, the White Rabbit and Molly the Dormouse to stop the evil Queen from stealing the recipe from her sister, Celia Suet, the most fabulously-dressed cook you’ve ever clapped eyes on!

The Fleetwood Mac Songbook

The Fleetwood Mac Songbook is a

non- stop, hit-packed show spanning all 50 years+ of Fleetwood Mac’s stellar career. This incredible six piece band deliver faithful live recreations of all of the Mac’s best known and well loved songs, from the Peter Green Blues era through to their multi million selling West Coast Rock incarnation after the addition of Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks to the line-up. Expect to hear the timeless classics Dreams, Little Lies, Rihannon, Oh Well, The Chain, (the Formula One theme), Don’t Stop, Everywhere, plus many more, all performed live to perfection.

Joan Armatrading - The 2018 Tour

As the very first UK female singer/songwriter to gain international success Joan Armatrading has spent the last 45 years touring and recording.

2018 brings Joan into her 46th year in music and only the second time that she will be performing a tour completely

solo.
