Although What's on in Exeter began its life with the purpose of primarily advertising live music entertainment in Exeter, we have now received so many requests from our many subscribers to include more diverse information that we've had to overhaul the site to reflect these changes. We hope you will find that it is now less cluttered and easier to navigate.

The Hunting of the Snark

Haldon Forest Park, Exeter
Thu 5th Apr - Sat 7th Apr

12 (noon) to 10pm

 

Join the Butcher, the Banker, the Broker, the Barrister and the Bonnet-maker as they hunt for the ever elusive Snark. Burn the Curtain’s new adaptation of the classic poem by Lewis Carroll, (author of Alice in Wonderland).

Be prepared for adventure and with your much-needed help, they will make a fresh attempt to find the Snark.

 

Whilst hunting for the Snark, you will need to collect thimbles, jam, forks and cress, defend yourself against a fearsome Jubjub bird and revive a heroic baker.

Snarkhunter is specifically for use in this forest and you can download it free from the Apple App store and Google Play from early March 2018.

 

Note: wear appropriate clothing and footwear and don’t forget your torch!!

The Fureys

Legends of Irish music & song, The Fureys have been entertaining audiences worldwide for 40 years; audiences that have included former Australian Prime Minister John Howard, Former Irish President Mary McAleese and the late Pope John Paul.

They are renowned for their hit songs ‘I Will Love You’, ‘When You Were Sweet 16’, ‘The Green Fields of France’, ‘The Old Man’, ‘Red Rose Café’, ‘From Clare to Here’, ‘Her Father Didn’t Like Me Anyway’, ‘Leaving Nancy’, ‘Steal Sway’ and more.

A Fureys' concert is always a night to remember – a great night of Irish music, songs and stories.

Crazy 4 Soul

The White Ensign Club, Exeter

A really good social atmosphere, great wooden dance floor and top sounds. DJ line up: usual DJs Wayne Sibthorpe, (Crazy 4 Soul, Manchester Soul Festival), DC, (Manchester), Guest DJs, Jummiy Mac, (Burton Underground), Soulman Rus, (Northampton), Martin Farmer, (Cheltenham).

They will be playing a fantastic range of Northern Soul, R 'n' B and Motown all on original vinyl.

Buy your early bird tickets before the event for £7.00 or £10 on the door.
